Step by Step Method
Step 1
Rinse rice and put in large covered pot with enough water to cover it by a few inches.
Step 2
Add bay leaves and soup base.
Step 3
Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and simmer 45-55 minutes, until rice is tender and fluffy. It should be cooked very gently.
Step 4
Drain, then add butter.
