Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cream the shortening with sugar and eggs.
Step 2
Sift flour, soda and ground cloves and add to the shortening/sugar/egg mixture alternately with cold coffee.
Step 3
Stir in the raisins, nuts and apples.
Step 4
Put into 6 cup greased tube pan to bake at 350° for 1 hour.
