"These are quick and easy to throw on the grill at your next BBQ. They taste great on their own, or you can try them on top of ice cream. For richer flavor, substitute water with a dark Cuban rum and marinate slices for an hour before grilling."

I let these marinate in rum and brown sugar for a good hour before putting on the grill. They didn't get grill marks b/c I used one of those copper mats that keeps food from falling into the fire. They were delicious! Just realized I skipped the butter! oops!

I loved this! I used the rum, and really enjoyed the flavor with the pineapple. I had as a side with grilled steak, but can totally see this as a dessert too. Thanks for sharing a delicious recipe!

This was really good. I used a Cuban rum instead of water. DH had his with ice cream and I had mine plain. Made for SWT 2019

So good! I made this with Dark Rum as the recipe recommends. It was delicious. I doubled the sauce part and after dipping and grilling the fresh pineapple I poured the rest of the sauce in a hot nonstick frying pan and reduced it down by at least half, if was fairly thick when I was done. For a boost I added a splash of rum into it after cooking so it would have a brighter flavor. The pine apple was easy to grill , I was afraid it might cook and burn to quickly but that wasn't a problem. I served the pineapple with ice cream, the rum sauce, and chopped toasted pecans. Delish!!! I had some left over pineapple which I used to make a cocktail, also super tasty! Made for SWT 2019
