Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Step 2
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt, then cut in shortening with a pastry blender.
Step 3
Add enough milk to make a soft dough.
Step 4
Roll out and cut into 1/2-inch-thick round biscuits.
Step 5
Place on greased baking sheet close together.
Step 6
Dip sugar cubes one at a time into orange juice and press into biscuit, do it fast they melt quick.
Step 7
Sprinkle orange rind over biscuits and bake for about 15 minutes.
Step 8
Yields 24 biscuits.
