"As you know a lot of companies put recipes on the products they sell,and sometimes they aren't that good. But this one is exceptionally good,that is if you like oatmeal & peanut butter like I do. If you don't have or can't find the mini peanut butter pieces, I think peanut butter chips would work just fine.The baking time is the " Cook Time ". And I will include the time for each tray of the cookies to cool after you bake them in the " Prep Time". The yield you get will depend on how big you make them. I was able to get 20 cookies. Step by Step Method
Step 1
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Step 2
Lightly grease parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Step 3
While oven is heating combine flour,baking soda,&salt into a small bowl and set aside.
Step 4
In a large bowl cream together shortening and both sugars until creamy.
Step 5
Then beat in egg and vanilla.
Step 6
Alternately mix in flour mixture with 2 tablespoons of milk.
Step 7
Stir in oats and pieces.
Step 8
Drop by 1/8th cupfuls onto cookie sheet.
Step 9
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
Step 10
Cool 10 minutes on cookie sheet then remove to wire rack to finish cooling.
