Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Step 2

In a large bowl, sift together dry ingredients.

Step 3

Add raisins and caraway seeds.

Step 4

In another bowl, mix together eggs, buttermilk and butter.

Step 5

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix only until moistened - don't overmix.

Step 6

Grease a bundt, large loaf or similar pan well , with butter and place the batter in.

Step 7

Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour or until done.

Step 8

Cool on rack.

Very good bread. We did use regular raisins (brown) and sour milk instead of buttermilk. Made one large loaf plus one mini loaf. Thanks for sharing!
