Step by Step Method

Step 1

Toast the oats until lightly browned.

Season lightly with salt.

Add water and mix well.

Very good breakfast! I doubted the amounts b/c on the oatmeal package it said 1/2 cup oats for 1 serving. And this said 1/2 cup oats for 2 servings. Must have something to do with toasting the oats and then adding 2 cups of liquid (water + milk) total. Anyway - it was plenty for the two of us and reminded DH of our cruise to Iceland!
