Step by Step Method

Step 1

Combine the basil, olive oil, pine nuts and garlic cloves in a food processor.

Step 2

Blend until a paste forms, stopping to push down the basil.

Step 3

Add in the Parmesan cheese, kosher salt and pepper. Blend until just smooth.

Step 4

Transfer to a container and refrigerate.

This is a wonderful pesto! I had it on a tomato sandwich, delicious! Made half the recipe, used Grana Padano from Italy, and a salt substitute. Will be using it on garlic bread tonight. Thank you Humphrey for sharing your recipe! It is definitely a keeper!
