Ground Beef Salsa Soup
"This was inspired from a Homemade Hamburger Helper recipe recently posted here by SwissMiss. I just made this very recently and was very happy to use up a half jar of picante sauce that was sitting in my fridge for a while. This turned out quite good!"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
In a Dutch oven or 4-quart saucepan, cook the ground beef with bell pepper until browned (about 12-14 minutes, meat should be well browned). Add in garlic and next 4 spices the last 2 minutes of cooking.
Step 2
Add in Picante sauce and milk/cornstarch mixture; bring to a simmer over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer 1 hour uncovered stirring frequently (the liquid should be reduced by almost half). Mix in 2 cups cheddar cheese and cooked pasta the last 8-10 minutes of cooking time; heat through. Season with more salt and pepper if needed.
