Step by Step Method

Step 1

In double boiler, heat 1 1/2 cups milk.

Step 2

Mix cornstarch mixture, pour into hot milk stir until thick.

Step 3

Temper yolks mixed with vanilla, pour into pudding mix. Pour into pie shell.

Step 4

Beat egg whites stiff while slowly adding sugar. Put on top of pudding mix.

Step 5

Bake 325 for 30 minutes until whites are browned.

Step 6

Chill 4 hours.
