Finger-Licking Chicken Marinade

"A wonderful marinade for chicken. Thyme is the absolutely essential ingredient; use more if you're opting for fresh thyme instead of dried. If you don't have Miracle Whip, mayonnaise may be substituted. I usually marinate chicken in the marinade at least 30 minutes before cooking. The recipe originally called for 1 Tbs salt, but since I went low-sodium years ago, I now only use half that for myself; however, since many do prefer the saltier version, I suggest experimenting. I previously posted this at Recipezaar (now the sadly diminished Fooddotcom) and it was by far my most popular recipe there. Can coat over a dozen chicken pieces."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Whisk together all ingredients in a small bowl.
Step 2
Use to marinate chicken pieces at least 30 minutes and then to baste the meat as it cooks in the oven or over hot coals.
