Step by Step Method

Step 1

Broccoli ... Add one (1) tablespoon of the butter to a medium saute pan along with the broccoli, red pepper flakes, onion, and garlic. Saute on medium high heat until tender, but still crisp. A non stick pan is what I prefer.

Step 2

Finish ... Once the broccoli and onions are tender, add the remaining butter (1/2 to 1 tablespoon, depending on how you like it), croutons, and season with salt and pepper; saute another minute to combine. To crush the croutons, simply add to a baggie and use the palm of your hand. You do not want them TOO fine.

Step 3

Serve and ENJOY!

Must admit I am not the biggest fan of broccoli but Kchurchill5 I think you have converted me with this delicious side dish, I scaled back for one serve and roughly cut up my hazelnuts as I like the crunch factor, thank for a great side dish recipe.
