Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook pasta in heavily salted boiling water until al dente.
Step 2
Save 1/2 cup pasta water.
Step 3
Drain.
Step 4
Meanwhile, heat oil and saute shallots and garlic until translucent.
Step 5
Add red pepper flakes.
Step 6
Add capers.
Step 7
Add tomatoes and butter and cook a bit.
Step 8
Mash with potato masher.
Step 9
Add basil, chicken bouillon, pasta water and drained pasta.
Step 10
Add cream but don't boil.
Step 11
Toss and season to taste.
Step 12
Add cheese when hot and toss
