"This is very loosely based on Derf's Brussels Sprouts And... (Recipe #8219), but adapted to use what I actually had on-hand. Eventually I mean to make it according to her recipe, but for now this is my version."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cook bacon in a nonstick skillet over medium heat until starting to crisp, about 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add onion and garlic; stir-fry 2-3 minutes.
Step 3
Add Brussels sprouts and carrots, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and cook, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes.
Step 4
Sprinkle chopped walnuts over pan and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes.
