"Libbie Wostrel made these a lot when Rudy was growing up, She probably made from scratch but the time period is right and the look is right. Some Chinese places serve similar balls with honey, and some people use powdered sugar."

Oh my goodness! These turn out so crispy on the outside and soft & fluffy on the inside! And such a great flavor! At first, the dough looked like it had too much corn - but it wasn't. Just perfect! By far our favorite fritter recipe. Super simple, too.

Oh my, these are so good! Soft and pillowy on the inside and crispy on the outside with those corny pieces poking throughout. YUM! We had them with a dusting of confectioners’ sugar and served them as Breakfast for Dinner along with omelets. I swear the simpler the recipe, at times, the better! If you haven’t tried or have made corn fritters, make these, they are so yummy. Next time I make a roast beef, I’m making these again – they make a fantastic accompaniment (without sugar over the top, of course). Thanks so much Dee, for sharing. Made it for FYC.
