Step by Step Method

Step 1

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil; add the egg noodles and cook according to package directions.

Step 2

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.

Step 3

While the noodles are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium high heat.

Step 4

Add the ground beef to the pan and cook for 4-5 minutes, breaking up the meat with a spatula.

Step 5

Add the onion and garlic to the pan and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until onion has softened and beef is cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Step 6

Add the tomato sauce, tomatoes and Italian seasoning to the beef and stir to combine.

Step 7

Drain the noodles and add to the pan with the beef; toss to combine.

Step 8

Pour the beef and noodle mixture into a 9"x13" baking pan that's been coated in cooking spray.

Step 9

Top with cheddar cheese.

Step 10

Bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley and serve.

Good and easy! We enjoyed this easy to make casserole and will be making it again. I added a bell pepper, but other wise made as directed. Thanks for sharing!

This is comfort food...we really loved the cheesy topping...I cut the recipe in half and had enough for dinner for two and the leftovers fed us lunch the next day...this is very easy to throw together...made for "Billboard" tag game...
