"To this basic recipe you can add several things; like roasted red peppers ( my favorite), Or roasted poblano and cilantro and exchange the lemon juice for lime juice... just use your imagination. Yield 3 cups"

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Drain beans and reserve the liquid when you do so.
Step 2
Blend beans, along with the other ingredients and 1/4 cup of the liquid.
Step 3
Process until the mixture is smooth.
Step 4
Add liquid until the desired consistency is reached.
Step 5
Adjust seasonings alongwith more cumin, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
