- Choose apples that are firm and ripe for the best flavor.
- If you don't have pre-packaged cinnamon sugar, you can make your own by combining 1/2 cup sugar with 3 teaspoons of cinnamon.
- Substitute almond milk for regular milk - Almond milk is a healthier alternative to regular milk and provides a delicious nutty flavor to the pancake.
- Substitute coconut oil for butter - Coconut oil is a healthier alternative to butter, and it adds a subtle hint of sweetness to the pancake.
Caramel Apple Pancake Replace the cinnamon sugar with 1/2 cup of caramel sauce. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apples before pouring the batter over them. Sprinkle additional cinnamon sugar over the top before baking.
Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus - This savory side dish is a great accompaniment to the sweet and buttery Baked Apple Pancake. The salty bacon and earthy asparagus are a perfect complement to the sugary flavors of the pancake.
Maple-Glazed Carrots: This sweet and savory side dish is a great addition to the Baked Apple Pancake. The maple glaze adds a subtle sweetness that pairs nicely with the sugary flavors of the pancake, while the carrots provide a crunchy texture that contrasts the soft texture of the pancake.
