"This is just a simple 4 ingredient salad. I always love this in the summer, when the fruit is at it's peak; but, honestly, it is good any time of year. Perfect for every day dinners, potlucks; or, entertaining."

Step by Step Method
Step 1
Walnuts ... Add the walnuts to a dry saute pan on medium heat. Saute, stirring often; for, 3-4 minutes - just until you begin to smell them. Then, they are done. Transfer to a plate to cool; then, chop. I prefer walnuts; however, pecans are also just as good.
Step 2
Melon ... I like to use a melon baller (small scoop); but, you can also dice the melon - whatever you like. Then, add the melon, nuts, and maple syrup to a bowl; and toss. Then, add the mint ... and toss once again. And, remember ... always use melons that are in season.
Step 3
Serve and ENJOY! ... It literally takes just a few minutes to prepare. Delicious, refreshing; and, a nice simple salad.
Step 4
Note: Fresh strawberries and peaches are also really good in this salad, instead of melon. Fresh 'in season' fruit and a good maple syrup is the key.
