Step 1: Combine the milk with vinegar
Step 2: Sift together, the flour with baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3: Cut in shortening and butter
Step 4: Add milk/vinegar mixture; mix well.
Step 5: On a floured surface, knead the dough a couple of times (dough should not be sticky)
Step 6: Roll out dough to a 1/2-inch thickness, then cut straight down (dont twist)
Step 7: Lightly spray a pan with cooking spray. Place dough on pan
Step 8: Bake in a preheated 450°F oven for 15-25 minutes. Depending on oven, just make it golden brown.
Step 9: Brush tops of biscuits with butter when you take them out of oven
