Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F; butter a 9x13 baking pan. Do not spray...for some reason it sticks.
Step 2: In large mixing bowl, beat sugar and eggs for 5 minutes with an electric mixer on medium.
Step 3: The volume of mixture will increase by almost half and will be thickened.
Step 4: Add butter and extracts and beat for 2 more minutes.
Step 5: Slowly add flour and beat until combined.
Step 6: Fold in cranberries; batter will be thick.
Step 7: Using a spatula, smooth batter into prepared pan.
Step 8: Sprinkle almonds evenly over top
Step 9: Bake for 40-50 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
