Red, White, and Blue Independence Day Jello Cups
"I used sugar-free ingredients when I made my cups for the 4th of July celebration. You can use regular products, if you prefer them (or have them in your pantry). Note: The number of servings may vary depending on the size of the clear disposable cups used. I used 5.5-ounce clear cups with lids, for easy transport. I used 5 packages of red jello, 5 packages of blue jello and 3 8-ounce containers of keto whipped topping for 25-30 portions. The cook time listed includes chilling the jello."
Ingredients
Step by Step Method
Step 1
Prepare the sugar-free red jello according to the package instructions using boiling water and cold water. Stir until the jello powder is completely dissolved.
Step 2
Repeat step 1 with the sugar-free blue jello.
Step 3
Place both jello mixtures in the refrigerator and allow them to chill for about 2 hours or until they are set and firm.
Assembly:
Step 4
Take a clear disposable cup and add a layer of red jello to the bottom, filling it about 1/3 of the way.
Step 5
Next, add a layer of thawed whipped topping on top of the red jello, filling it another 1/3 of the way.
Step 6
Now, add a layer of blue jello on top of the whipped topping, filling the cup almost to the top.
Step 7
Optionally, top the blue jello layer with a dollop of whipped topping.
Step 8
Garnish each cup with a fresh strawberry and a few fresh blueberries.
Step 9
Repeat steps 1-5 with the remaining clear disposable cups until all desired servings are assembled.
Step 10
Place the jello cups in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow them to chill before serving.
