A before five o'clock start for the day, a chilly morning see the weather network sees us at minus 1 but all looks fine which could change when it warms. Not going to be all that warm as see feels like 3 is on for noon. I suspect other than the necessities I am looking to am indoor day.

Yesterday made 'my version' of Pasatta sauce for the freezer stash saw batches of chunked tomatoes done in the oven, cooled and then to my Magic Bullet which took care of the peels as well as the seeds. Thickens beautifully. Easy peasy! I then went on to make a large batch into the Butter chicken gravy/sauce ready to add to the freezer.

Today sees to a large container of chicken marinating to make my https://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/asian ... ntic-34258 which will see me caught up on tomatoes. For now. Next thinking to making sis in law's Tomato Jam. I could eat that with a spoon! Thinking it would be great for the Thanksgiving charcuterie Board.

Saw this quote yesterday which made for my laugh of the day!

The date above should read Oct 4th.

I can't remember if we talked yesterday...it has been a whirlwind of nastiness here with Nyah going into congestive heart failure and then a seizure. It was so scary for her and us. It was a few hours of not knowing if she would pull through. Which she eventually did with medication and time. Won't go into the gross parts of that.

On a lighter now...to rid my body of that angst...I went out to split 30 large pieces of wood and stacked them. That took me 2 hours of consistent movement! Loved it! And it reduced my stress level. Anyways...life goes on!

Hope all is going well at your house today Patti. I have to agree that keeping busy during stressful times keeps it at a manageable level. Thoughts are with you hoping Nyah is feeling much better. Love your Carolyn Forché quote!

Weather Network tells me we had minus 3 this morning yet all still looks fine, remains to be seen if there is wilting when the sun comes out. Waking at 3:30 remembered my big container filled with special strawberries I babied all summer thinking to the price tag that came with them and a beautiful flowering plant that is perennial in warm zones from my brother were still out there. Yes I lugged, dragged and maneuvered them into the garage. Waiting a bit before I head out this morning hoping it warms as downright chilly out there.

While waiting will see yesterday's efforts to the freezer.

Off for a long day in town with both DH and both Chi's. I can't leave Nyah at home with DH anymore as he would not know how to handle/medicate Nyah alone if she had another attack.

It is chilly here...4C this morning. I can just imagine you hauling your plants into the garage!! Hope you are ok after doing that! Thank you for your quote...gave me hope it will be a good day!

Your quote took me down memory lane Patti, so much like dh's motto which was no matter what you do be sure to do the best you can.

While noon sees us at 7 degrees but feels like 2, raining and an unbelievable wind out there making it an indoor day. Lost internet for a bit this morning which made me assure I have a book downloaded on my tablet. Unsure as to my Allie and keep checking as noon and she is still in bed, possibly the gusting and howling wind has her loving the heated mattress. Yes we are under a wind warning.

As I measured out the results from yesterday's tomato harvest large batches of Butter Chicken Sauce, passata sauce, Curry Chicken and tomato sauces had me feel like a pioneer woman! That should see me caught up with the tomatoes for the next few days. Looking forward to a semi final curling game at one. Yes Saskatchewan is on at one. They stated out this one with 13 straight wins under their belt and curling really well.

My reaction to your quote: EXACTLY!!! You have been and are a very busy lady! What a great stash from your garden! I can just imagine the flavours of your bounty!! YUM!!! And I just know you enjoyed watching the curling! :-)

As I mentioned yesterday it was a long day. A day that was not good for Nyah!! She did not eat anything until I pureed her dinner and syringed it into her. Hoping she will be better today! She is still in the feathers...so we shall see.

Raining here today and supposed to for the next 2 days. When I went to town the other day...noticed that the two streams coming from the the mountain were flowing to the lake. Not raging...but flowing well.

Enjoy your day! :-)
