What a beautiful and touching quote Patti. Looking for a catch up weekend. Found myself take on an added project which is going well, going through my overflowing recipe drawer sorting and adding sleeves to the repeatables. Have set aside a clear container for extras that are only made occasionally.

Hopefully warmer this afternoon for tending the garage plantings to complete the clean up and bring in potting soil which has been on the agenda for days.

Another of your quotes that should be hanging in every home!!

Yep...it has been snowing since 11pm last night and no sign of it stopping. I have shoveled pathways to where I need to go everyday. I will have to do it again at some point today.

I was startled to find today still sees us in the extreme cold warning but thankfully no snow or wind -yet. Seems it may not warm up any time soon but one can always hope. We had lunch out today then got the kennel set up in here for the coming week. With the appointment Wednesday have to come up with names, cant have the furbabies called momma and baby for the rest of their lives!

Love that quote Patti, I have to admit I often share but with health issues in mind it's mere tidbits for the pups these days. Bit of exception today, as I put away my winter gear came back to find Allie had opened the container and polished off half my hamburger with only a tomato slice left behind! Good thing I ordered the small one and happy I ate the spring roll appetizers!

Happy you were able to get out have lunch! :-) Gads Gerry, I think we all have a story or two about opportunistic fur babies when it comes to food! LOL

So the snow lasted for 24 hours! And we are expecting more this week. So...going to shovel again today before taking out the pooches.

I was not prepared to see the red extreme warning showing a minus 52, it's 'warmed' to feels like minus 50 which will see me up the heat another notch or two. Makes for a change of plans seeing to what likely will be an indoor day for me. I was really looking forward to working among the garage plantings to dead head, trim and general clean up, which would be good start for spring.

Internet was off briefly has me hoping power stays on, realize I need to up the heat just in case power fails as it's chilly in here which would see to cold setting in far too quickly.

Love Roy T. Bennett quotes, his integrity quote one of my favorites Patti.

Still in the Red extreme cold warning, noon and still feels like minus 40. Spent the morning prepping for the furbabies surgeries on for tomorrow and introducing them to our household when we get back. Next door neighbor lent their large dog kennel which we set up yesterday. Downstairs doors to family rooms, study/plants, bath and laundry will be closed once the furbabies are fine with each other. That meant emptying 3 drawers and moving a cabinet that I love back to it's place under the window in the study, no mean feat as it's real wood! Just getting it onto a quilt to save the floors a major but got it done.

Hopefully by doing it slowly my back doesn't scream at me! I may have to stay with quiet chores this aft! Going through those drawers a sentimental journey which now is reorganized which is a real plus. Note of interest a front page copy of the Leader Post and our wedding announcement. Front page saw to a photo of Princess Margaret's wedding. PS I was a much much younger bride! This quote had me think to the many yesterdays ...

Clicks in early this morning.

Hope all is well at your house Patti, I am guessing you are busy shoveling and hauling in wood. Here same old, was feels like minus 51 at nine last night. It 'warmed' somewhat over night but remains we are still in the Red with the extreme cold warning. Seeing a glimpse of sun is promising so hopefully by the weekend we will see to warming.

Once again plans for the day have changed, call from the clinic yesterday sees the veterinarian in Toronto as his father is in the hospital. Surgeries now on for next Wednesday. Being so super cold I shiver just thinking of being outside, hopefully next week we see to warmer temperatures.

I was expecting to wake to warmer temps, while up a few degrees we remain in the red extreme cold warning. I have managed a number of small chores this morning for my 'ten extra chores in my declutter routine' and have reinforced my 'don't put it down, put it away' had to chuckle when seeing that suggested when watched a cleaning video. Know the reorganization has to happen for that to work as well as it should. Have to stay motivated.

Finally out of the extreme cold warning, see Regina had the lowest wind chills at minus 53 which is the same in both celsius and fahrenheit, far wonder that this afternoon's temperature of minus 2 in Regina and minus 7 here is a reprieve. Not saying we are all good as told to be prepared for freezing rain and high winds. Admittedly looking for a warming trend.

I think today is a good day to make a container of Bean Salad that we enjoy, been awhile!
