Woke up this morning to no running water! It is still dark here...so can't go out. The people on the next property have water (we are on the same system). So it is going to be difficult to ascertain where the problem is. Temps are still in the -20's C. Fun times in the 'hood!

Still in the deep freeze...-21C this morning. I have been keeping the downstairs fire going day and night. We have a blower that I turn on to give the upstairs (where we live) a boost of heat when it is very cold. Works like a charm.

I am resting today after that water situation yesterday! Spent almost 2 hours in the valve house bent over with a hair drier on the pipe at -21C. It is underground and a small space. Needless to say my body is a wee bit stiff...nothing too bad. I guess I was holding myself tense while I was in the ground. LOL More fun times in the 'hood!

Hope you have a good day Gerry! :-)

Off to town this morning. It is a wee bit warmer...-18C.

Have a wonderful day! :-) This quote made me giggle this morning:

Clicks are in.

I cannot begin to imagine holding onto a hair dryer for two hours in minus 21 degree temps, I thought last weeks three major tries with my hairdryer to get my garage door open was bone chilling ... this round goes to you Patti!

Another winter kind of day here, almost minus feels like 30 upon waking and see it hasn't warmed a lot. Plan for the morning was working among the plants in the garage, a heavy snow fall warning is in effect which could see to a change of plans. Also on the agenda is baking some cookies for the furbabies. Love your quote Patti!

Long day...short night...but got 'er done! :-)

Hope you were able to get to your plants Gerry! Hope the snow pack will not be too bad.

According to the weather report...we don't seem to be getting any snow for the next 5 days. Yippee!

Slow start to the morning, the recent flares still has me feeling a little dragged out some days, today was one of them. Our feels like minus 30 this morning has not warmed much as we head to evening it's minus 28 out there with a red 'blowing snow advisory' on. Looking out today thought the walkways okay til I went to put garbage out and found once again I could not open the door. This time around it was the front door. The cheerful young fellow who does my walkways cleared it away - now see likely a repeat for tonight. I am so done with winter, but hanging in.

Your quote should be on a plaque in every home on earth! Can you just imagine????

Temps here too are still in the deep -20'sC. Brought in 5 loads of wood yesterday, 3 in the early morning and 2 just before noon. I will top it up again this morning.

Gads Gerry...prairie storms seem so much more intense than here. I think it probably has something to do with the immense space of flat land...nothing to hinder a storm like hills, mountains and tall trees.

Temps here are rising...-16C this morning! I am so over this deep freeze!! Time for the temps to rise so we can have more snow pack.

Hauling in more wood...hopefully with the rising temps...we won't be going through as much wood!

Been clicking.

Was another almost thirty below morning start to the day, all the while hoping to see some sunshine. Almost noon and not happening.
