Your quote is absolutely accurate Gerry!! Fills the heart and soul!
We didn't get above 24C yesterday and it was 4C in the morning.
Off to town this morning for Chico's yearly dental cleaning. Going to be a long day in town.

Hope Chico's dental went well. As always love your quote! Not a very nice day today so a little indoor catchup. Have a gallon of fridge pickles made, hoping to dill and also make some spicy bean pickles. I need to check out my tomato recipes to assure I don't waste any of the lush and lovely tomatoes.

I am not surprised at all at who wrote your quote!! LOL
Wish I could be in the kitchen with you Gerry...making all your good things!!
When I picked Chico up at the vet's...his wee tongue was sticking out a bit. He made no sign that he recognized me. He was making small wimpering sounds. Put him in the car on his blanket...and he was having none of it. So I thought he needed to pee...so put his lease on and away we went. Well...he wanted to go on a journey! lol He did his business and off home we went. Not a fun drive for me as he was unsettled. But once he was home...he settled quite a bit. Familiar sounds, smells etc calmed him down. And he did eat dinner and has been right as rain ever since. Thank goodness!

More rain last night while still chilly hoping for a much needed garden day. Already been a super busy day not yet nine and have half of today's 'ten extras to get ahead of clutter' done 3 loads laundry, a roaster of tomatoes in the oven to do my version of Passata Sauce, jars done to do pickles later.
Loved your John Green quote Patti, made for my laugh of the day. Hope Chico is back to happy after his dental!
Another Mark Twain that always makes me chuckle. I wish but doesn't work for me!... " Never put off until tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.” Mark Twain

Your quote is right on Patti!
Had a productive day yesterday, got a roasting pan of tomatoes done then made Butter Chicken Sauce/Gravy for the freezer. Plan is to freeze flat in freezer bag freeze and rebag with my Cabela food saver for longer storage. Picked the ripe and ripening tomatoes, beans and peppers. Will do some covering when I see frost warnings. Today hopefully warms for an nice outdoor day, yesterday it was damp and chilly. Lovely fresh picked buttered green and yellow beans from the garden for lunch today, one of life's simple pleasures

Sounds wonderful Gerry...to be in the kitchen with your homegrown produce!!! Happy you had a fun, productive day!
We have had thunder/lightning/rain since yesterday. The thunder/lightning has stopped this morning but still raining and it is cool. Just started the wood cookstove to take away the chill. Feels absolutely wonderful!!! Nothing like wood heat to reach your bones!

That is a beautiful quote Patti, so perfect for a Sunday morning.
Nice and bright out there this morning should see us warm to 24. The forecast for the coming week does not sound promising "Widespread heavy rainfall is expected as a low-pressure system pushes into the region, bringing renewed flooding concerns for some communities. The storm will also divide the region with a pronounced temperature swing" We have been very fortunate to have missed the brunt of the summer storms and hoping the forecast changes for the better.

Re: ~ Click to Feed the Animals ~
A chilly 8 degree morning, babies all sleeping, seem to be headed to the chill time hours. Weather will see how the day goes. Although wasp traps are working I can only work at the apple drop early in the day, think I am almost done. Must have picked a thousand apples! Next year will have to go on Market Place to see if anyone out there that can use them. I cannot climb to do it. Starting the fall harvest and clean up. So much to do so little time in which to get it done.
