This is real comfort food and with ingredients I always have on hand!! I had a bunch of leftover cooked ham in the freezer and was looking for a way to use some of it up. I came up with this recipe which we really enjoyed. A few minutes of prep then the crock pot did the rest of the work.

Pea soup has just gotten easier. A few minutes of prep and you literally just toss everything in the Instant pot to let it do it's magic. The end result is a great tasting, belly warming soup. And all this under an hour....

Those potatoes and that soup look really delicious! But my hubby can't have the dried peas or the potatoes very often due to the high potassium in them.
I love to use leftover ham in my Iowa Ham Meatballs. Really scrumptious! Recipe #29651.

Thx Sheila, I just went to take a look at your #recipe29651 it does seem like something I would enjoy, and a great way to use leftover ham!
