Made as written for Billboard Tag - I introduced my now DH & a grp of Icelanders to the Thanksgiving meal when they were in the US for spec training. After I came to Iceland to marry Siggi, we agreed to share the tradition annually as a 4-family grp. The date can vary, but the event is always hosted by us & we had extras this yr. To be sure we had enough turkey for the meal & leftovers for all, I cooked an extra turkey breast in my crock-pot & oven-roasted 4 skin-on legs using your recipe. The legs were clearly the best, very tender & flavorful. The skinless breast was unusually dry, tended to crumble w/slicing & had a strong lemon flavor (my pers view as no one complained & Siggi didn't agree w/me). The gravy was great! Your recipe will be used again for basting skin-on oven-roasted turkey or chicken & I'm confident the result will be excellent. Thx for sharing this recipe w/us. :-)

Made for Billboard Tag as written except that I subbed a generous amt of lemon pepper for the salt as DH is salt-restricted after a kidney transplant. 50% of our dinner meals are fish & sole fillets are among our faves, so I was pleased to find your recipe & very happy w/the excellent results. Thx for sharing this easy-fix recipe certain to be repeated often. :-)

Made a full recipe as written for Billboard Tag except for leaving out the salt as DH is salt-restricted post kidney transplant. Then I halved the yield to use it in 2 ways -- Savory to baste marinated grilled chicken & sweet as coffee-flavored icing by adding powdered sugar to frost banana muffins. I esp liked the latter & favor a lemon flavor for fish, so will prob use it mostly for poultry meats. Thx for sharing this multi-use recipe w/us. :-)

Banana bread is highly-favored around our house & the truly shocking thing about this banana bread is how it's such an easy fix. It's an ingredient-friendly, 1-bowl quick-fix. Made as written using the baking powder option, it was delicious but I didn't notice any real textural chg. We enjoyed it last nite for dessert & today w/our morning coffee. Made as written for the Billboard Tag Game, mainly since we love both main ingredients & I had a bit of the orange sauce I to use from your roast duck recipe. It's an easy-fix & well-flavored, but we found it a bit on the "too sweet" side, so I'll reduce the honey to 1 tbsp for its encore. It was served w/lasagna, garlic bread & cucumber salad. I shared things in common w/other reviewers when I made this recipe essentially as written. I used frozen blueberries dusted w/flour plus was drawn to the use of cream cheese & enjoyed the batter "silkiness" - But I also had differences. My batter was stiff (vs loose) & I didn't use a glaze as my DH loves blueberry muffins, but prefers them plain. My yield was likely spot-on as I opted to make 12 std-size & 8 jumbo-sized muffins using a conversion method I found on-line (See pic). All that said, they were great & I'm glad I resisted my early temptation to halve the recipe. Thx for sharing this lovely recipe w/us. :-)

This recipe needs a 10 Star button! My DH was out-of-town for 3 dys & I wanted to cook something special for his return home, so I chose your recipe. I served it w/buttered broccoli & wild rice. He was so impressed & it was instantly added to my "Go-To Favorite Recipe Cookbook". It deserved better pics, so I hope you're not too disappointed. Thx for sharing this keeper w/us. Made for the Pick Me Tag Game & served last night as part of a starter course to dinner & games nite guests, I made 2 minor chgs. I used red bell pepper because that's what DH bought & I subbed leek & dry chives for the green onions rarely found here in Iceland. Comments were favorable - DH adored it & our 2 guests liked it a lot, but I felt the ingredient amts were a bit off target. IMO the 1 cup cocktail sauce & 2 cups cheese made those flavors dominate the shrimp flavor I wanted to be stronger. I will make this again, halve those ingredients & then adjust to taste pref by gradually adding more as I feel the need. I may even try using a bit of Old Bay Seas I favor using w/shrimp. Broccoli salads are a fave for us. We entertain often & are esp fond of make-ahead recipes that turn a salad & veggie into 1 dish. Broccoli salads are full of flavor & texture that improves by Day 2. That said, your recipe ticks all my boxes. I did reduce the amt of mayo, plumped the raisins in water, used roasted unsalted cashews (DH is salt-restricted post transplant) & added black olives.
