"I picked up a fundraiser book from local dog rescue, Stray Rescue, at a nearby Goodwill. Local radio personality Guy Phillips' Spaghetti Pie recipe was included. Looks good though I will leave out the green pepper (or sub mushrooms) and swap out the canned tomatoes for tomato sauce...just personal preference. The recipe is unchanged other than me re-ordering the ingredients and cleaning up the instructions."

Pure comfort in a pie plate. I used my own spaghetti sauce instead of just the tomatoes, which I think only added to the overall flavor. We loved this as a change from spaghetti and sauce. Winner winner sketti dinner!

I have seen recipes for spaghetti pie for years, but had never tried one. As I was making this, I had doubts about it working, such as being too dry or the cheese layer being too bland, but I followed as written (except using ground turkey and leaving out green pepper-we don’t like each other :) ) It was actually quite moist and not bland at all. Now I have tried it, I will have it often. Thanks for a keeper.

What a great spaghetti pie -- absolutely loved putting it together and eating it too. LOL The only change I made was to use ricotta cheese vs. cottage cheese. I don't think it altered the flavor much and I really needed to use it up. Will definitely be making this dish again.

Very good spaghetti pie which we enjoyed. A good way to use up some cottage cheese plus other ingredients that are usually on hand. Thanks for sharing!
