Step by Step Method

Step 1

Season the beef chunks with salt and pepper.

Step 2

Bring the oil to medium-high heat in a large skillet and add the beef and brown on all sides.

Step 3

Add the fusilli, 1 1/2 cup water and 1/4 cup pesto and simmer until pasta is just cooked. You may need to add a bit more water to stop the pasta from sticking to pan; add a bit at a time if necessary, you want just a bit of liquid left once cooked.

Step 4

Stir in the remaining ingredients and warm through.

This is very tasty and pretty easy to make, but we didn't care for the sirloin. I think ground beef or Italian sausage would be better, or maybe the sirloin cut into thin strips instead of 1" chunks.
