"Great for the Super Bowl, Valentine's Day, and parties, but you can have it any time you please! Fondues are great for family time, because you can spend 3-4 hours together enjoying each others company, while dipping and eating your favorite meat, seafood, and veggies. I love to dip pieces of steak, chicken, pork, shrimp, crab, scallops and lobster. Cut the steak, chicken and pork in thin strips, and skewer, then dip in the fondue pot until it is done. Pull out and pop into your mouth. Such great flavor sensations! I also posted a recipe for Just Like "The Melting Pot" Cheddar Cheese Fondue to have along with this for a complete meal. Don't forget about fondue desserts too. I have posted a recipe for Heavenly Chocolate Fondue to dip your favorite fruits, cakes etc. in to top of your fondue experience, and satisfy that sweet tooth!"

Made this for the hubs and I for Valentines Day. We dipped sliced beef, shrimp, and thinly sliced chicken, carrots and broccoli. Super delicious and so romantic feeding each other :)

Engrossed

Tasty and fun! This was a nice recipe to try out my fondue pot for the first time. I made this with 4 cloves garlic, beef broth, vermouth and Bear Creek Onion soup mix. I simmered it on the stove-top for an hour before pouring it into the fondue pot. I served it with thinly sliced sirloin cubes, french bread cubes, swiss cheese, mushrooms, eggplant cubes, tomatoes and onions. My favorite was quickly dipping the french bread in the broth and putting it, a piece of cooked sirloin and a piece of onion on a piece of swiss cheese, wrapping it all up and devouring it. The broth was extremely peppery for me...I did use fresh coursely ground black pepper. Freddy Cat says thanks for the fun meal! Made for the Billboard recipe tag game.
