Step by Step Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2

Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.

Step 3

Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon from skillet but keep about 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the pan. Drain bacon on a paper towel-lined plate and break each slice in half.

Step 4

Add onion to the bacon fat and sauté until soft.

Step 5

Add ground beef, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon. Season with salt and pepper and sauté until the beef is browned and cooked through.

Step 6

Turn off heat and drain fat.

Step 7

On a lightly floured surface, roll out crescent rolls.

Step 8

Top with cooked ground beef, cooked bacon and cheese, then drizzle ketchup and mustard onto each triangle.

Step 9

Roll up crescents and transfer to baking sheets. Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with garlic powder.

Step 10

Bake until golden, about 12-15 minutes.

I had never used the biscuits in a tin before and when I started to open the tin I suddenly had dough coming out every which way - it was like a mini explosion! I ended up with these lumps of dough that sure didn't look like crescents. To save the day I had to make bundles instead of crescents. They may not look pretty but they sure tasted super good. I would love to make this recipe again as it should be made as crescents. Excellent flavour.

These tasted great, but I had trouble keeping the filling contained in the crescents! I think I was trying to stuff too much into them. LOL. Kids especially loved them. Thanks for sharing!
