Step by Step Method
Step 1
Cream sugar and shortening.
Step 2
Add soda to applesauce.
Step 3
Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture.
Step 4
Add raisins and nuts and applesauce.
Step 5
Pour into greased 9 inch cake pan (I used tube).
Step 6
Bake slowly 325 degrees for 60 minutes.
