Step by Step Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 180C.
Step 2
Peel and core apples and slice thickly and place in a large saucepan with sugar, juice and cinnamon over a medium heat and cook, stirring for about 10 to 12 minutes, or until apples are just tender.
Step 3
Stir in sultanas and then divide evenly among four ovenproof dishes (1 1/4 capacity) and place on an oven tray.
Step 4
To make the crumble, combine flour and sugar in a large bowl and rub in butter to form coarse crumbs and then stir in oats, coconut and almonds and sprinkle evenly over the fruit.
Step 5
Cook for about 35 minutes or until topping is golden and crisp.
Step 6
Serve hot crumbles with vanilla custard.
