"An old family favourite and my most requested recipe. So easy so good and so tastes like apple pie. The recipe calls for an 8 x 8 baking pan, can be baked in a casserole or as I often do in a pie plate slice and serve as one would apple pie. Using white sugar in the crust has it tasting like pasty. Recently found baking this at a higher temperature until well browned (425 for 40 - 50 minutes) is very like an apple crisp, a delicious version of Almost Apple Pie, both making for great tasting apple desserts."
