"Based solely on mean solar time, Saskatchewan would be located in the Mountain Time zone. By choosing Central Standard Time as the time zone, Saskatchewan is about one hour ahead of mean solar time, reffectively placing the province on permanent DST all year round." Which means our clocks stay the same year around. Matters not to me which zone is used but would prefer they all remain a constant.
Come spring no clock watching, always up when the birds began to chirp and sun comes up, when it's dark I'm in and turn on the lights. With family and friends across the country the changes can become confusing, I really find it a pain to constantly have to check before calling to assure it's not too early, their meal time or past their bedtime!

I am not a fan.... I find it hard on the little ones. That 1 hour extra sleep makes a BIG difference. Cranky kids for about a week after time change.
