This recipe earned its title because when I make this, I feel like I am “cheating” by using a French’s meat marinade seasoning mix packet instead of fresh herbs and spices… I am also cheating by skipping the marinating step!! The meat marinade seasoning mix marinates the meat and vegetables as they cook. Depending on which mix you are using you might not need to add salt at all to this recipe. Wait until it is cooked and adjust the seasoning then. I like serving this with fresh warm buns to soak up those delicious juices.

This herb omelet recipe is easy to prepare and makes a great breakfast or brunch dish. It is full of flavor from the fresh herbs and it turned out so fluffy. I did use fresh chives, parsley, thyme in this recipe. I did not have the tarragon so I used basil instead.
